Um, Um, Umbrella!

 Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time. Like when this lady came walking with her colorful umbrella. Now of course the image is edited to black and white, where I highlighted the colors of the umbrella.

The short tram line in Malmö, Sweden.

 In the past, there were several tram lines in Malmö. Among other things, one from the center all the way to Limhamn. Another stretched along Lönngatan and Jägersovägen halfway to the newly opened department store Wessels, later B & W. The last bit was a free bus between the terminus at Kastanjeplan and on to the department store.

The tram you see starts at the fish market near the technical museum and stretches through Kungsparken to the city library. It stops there. Plans were apparently made to make it a short ring line around/through the parks.

Modern and less modern

 There are about 300 meters between the buildings you see in the pictures. The first is from the modern Kulturvarvet (Kulturvaerftet)in Elsinore (Helsingör), while the second picture is the grand entrance to Kronborg Castle

ICM, Intentional Camera Movement

 The method ICM, Intentional Camera Movement, can create quite nice movements in the subjects. Anyway, I like it.

The sun is going down.

 It happens from time to time that I end up in the right place at the right time. On this particular evening once in 2011, it happened that me and my friend Matts were outside near the robot shooting range between Malmö and Oxie when it happened.

Aimed the camera towards Malmö and waited for the sun to set just behind the TV tower at Jägersro.

The Avicii Arena, The Globe in Johanneshov, Stockholm

 Just south of Stockholm is Johanneshov. And there you can find the Avicii Arena, or as the people say, the Globe. It was inaugurated on February 19, 1989. Many have seen it from afar as it rises above many other buildings in its vicinity. This area also contains a large mall with various shops, on several levels. The pictures you will now see were taken in 2007 and 2010. In February 2010, two gondolas were inaugurated that take you up to the top of the Globe, 85.20 meters above the ground, and 130 meters above sea level.

Curious in this context is that in 1964 in July The Beatles had two concerts at Johanneshov's ice stadium

En klassiker!

 En gång i tiden fanns denna tavla uppsatt mellan akuten och röntgen på Malmö Allmänna Sjukhus, eller MAS, eller SUS eller UMAS. Kärt barn har många namn.

Vid ett tillfälle hade en klurig person satt upp en mugg som i mångt och mycket påinde om tavlan. Det blev en riktigt fin kombo av det hela. Var tavlan finns idag vet jag inte. Den hette något i stil med 78 färger (kommer inte ihåg antalet olika färger)

Once upon a time there was this board set up between the emergency room and X-ray at Malmö General Hospital, or MAS, or SUS or UMAS. Dear child has many names.

On one occasion, a clever person had set up a mug that kept thinking about the painting. It was a really nice combo of it all. I don't know where the painting is today. It was called something like 78 colors (can't remember the number of different colors)

Here he comes!

 Throughout his working life, my brother was a flight captain, perhaps with some exceptions at the beginning of his career. One day almost ten years ago, he asked me to take some pictures when he was going to land one of the WIZZ AIR planes at Sturup, now Malmö Airport.

Here's how you can see a sweep of images from an apparition in the distance to the landing, as well as when he took off again.

If you look closely at one of the pictures, you can see his arm with a camera in it.

gone since 40 years

This u-shaped building was once (demolished 40 years ago) very central in Helsinborg. There have been many trips back and forth about what should be built on this lot. HSB once announced a tall building, which was not approved. More recently, proposals have been put forward by the famous Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh, and which I do not know today if it could be relevant. You will find the place within the triangle Bergaliden, Lilla Bergaliden and Södra Storgatan
